Kinni River Corridor Project

In general, many of the regional and national dam removal projects result in the restoration of a degraded waterway. The restoration incudes re-establishment of native fisheries and natural flood plains and riparian properties. What makes the Kinni different is that the lower river is not expected to improve significantly because of dam removal as it is already a Class I river and is already a regional and national destination, making the economic experiences of other communities hard to project onto River Falls.
